AT A GLANCE

APPEARANCE: basic, wearable console
HEIGHT: 6'0" (183 cm)
BUILD: slim

FIRST IMPRESSIONS
VISUAL: Nerd. No seriously, one look at Colress easily gives away his profession, since he's almost never without either that bulky wearable console or lab coat. That said, he's actually pretty tall (6ft) and thin, but he's not out of shape. He's got some definition from all the traveling by foot he does. Also notable about Colress' appearance is his hair. It's silly, but he apparently doesn't seem to think so since he purposefully styles it like that, dying that one bang blue and all. Another thing he's almost never seen without is his glasses, as he's basically blind without them. He has several pairs in a few styles, thin or thick-rimmed.

FASHION: ...Nerd. This is going to be a running trend, yes. As mentioned above, Colress is rarely seen without some sort of indicator that he's a scientist. Underneath the science gear though, he's actually a pretty snappy dresser. He wears a suit underneath his lab coat, after all. For the most part he's fond of darker colors and wears his clothing a tad loose for comfort, but it's still fitted well. He likes color coordination, either leaning toward blues to go with his dyed bang or more monochromatic themes as seen in his wearable console.

DEMEANOR: Colress is actually a very personable guy! Cheery and often excitable, he's happy to chat people up about plenty of topics. It's something he's grown accustomed to from meeting so many different types of trainers over the years. He's pretty unflappable in this regard- it's difficult to actually rile him up in the negative sense. However, he also has a penchant for going off on long, fervent monologues about his research, so it's kind of easy to lose him in a conversation if you're not the scientifically inclined sort. He's been described as weird for this habit. He's also a bit of a distracted conversationalist- though he's able to keep up and listen to his conversation partner, he has a habit of fiddling with his tech or splitting his attention on whatever else is interesting him at the moment.

VOICE: Colress has a couple different voice actors, but I tend to use his voice from the B2W2 animated trailer since his Generations voice wasn't a thing yet when I picked him up. He's voiced by Sean Schemmel in the trailer, making his voice deceptively deep for his appearance. His speech pattern is exactly what one would expect from someone intellectually inclined- lots of fancy terms and formal speak. He tends to speak rather excitedly too, if the frequent exclamations in his in-game dialogue are anything to go by.

SKILLS & INVENTORY
SKILLS

SCIENCE. Colress is a very skilled and experienced scientist in many different fields. Though he initially focused primarily on the innate strength of Pokemon, his knowledge reaches far into other subjects due to his dabbles in technology. His resume is truly impressive, having designed well over a thousand different creations that cover a wide array of uses including the fusion (or splitting) of Pokemon, a massive airship that housed a Legendary Pokemon as well as an ice beam capable of freezing an entire city, and a device that quite literally sends people across dimensions. He seems to have garnered himself a reputation, having been sought out by Ghetsis of Team Plasma, as well as the Aether Foundation for projects.

In the past, Colress was extremely dedicated to his research to the point of tossing aside his conscience and morality in order to obtain what he considered to be the most accurate results. These days though, he has since devoted his talents to the betterment of people and Pokemon, actively opposing destructive behaviors that he once turned a blind eye to for the sake of science.

POKEMON TRAINING. Colress has always had a keen interest in Pokemon, and they are his focus first and foremost. Even before he turned over a new leaf he was incredibly skilled in battling with his Pokemon, but in recent years he has progressed even further to the point of becoming a regular contender at Alola's Battle Tree. He has harnessed the power of Kalos' Mega Evolution and Alola's Z-Moves, utilizing them with the strength of he and his Pokemon's bonds to bring out the most of their innate power. In other words, he's deceptively strong.

The Pokemon he has the most interest in are Pokemon of an inorganic or unnatural quality such as the Klink and Magnemite lines. Unsurprisingly, his team is comprised of many of these types of Pokemon.

INVENTORY

ACHROMATIC WEARABLE CONSOLE. Colress' pride and joy. This suit was constructed to provide everything he could need or want during his travels as a solo researcher. It's fitted with two separate panels for inputting and referencing data, cameras for recording supplemental research material, coolant and heating systems to account for harsher temperatures, and...some more niche features like a cloaking device that makes him completely invisible and a device to manipulate a person's dimensional channel. He's rarely seen without this console, though he will wear regular clothes for special occasions.

POKEMON TEAM. Colress has five Pokemon with him in Prismatica. More information on them can be found here!

COMMUNICATION BRACELET. Colress has the standard bracelet given to all Moonblessed, though at this time he does not wear it as a bracelet. It's a bit difficult to wear when he already has display panels on either arm from his wearable console! Over time, he's going to integrate it into one of the panels.
